May 9, Lingang, Shanghai------The first 6.25MW-172 wind turbine has been successfully installed in Shanghai Electric’s Lingang Phrase I Pilot wind farm. The turbine boasts of the biggest rotor diameter ever installed in offshore wind projects, and the longest glass fiber reinforced blade worldwide. The blades were produced by Zhongfu Lianzhong, 84 meters in length, for Shanghai Electric’s 6.25MW platform.
Zhongfu Lianzhong was the first in China to develop, design and produce MW-level wind blades, while offering test and other services to clients. It has set up many innovation platforms, including National-Level Technology Center, National-Level Post-Doctoral R&D working station, Jiangsu Provincial Laboratory focusing on the designand production of offshore wind blades, etc. It is renowned to have a strong and robust R&D department, a biggest-in-China production center and the most extensive portfolio of blade types. It owns China’s biggest market share in terms of offshore wind blades.
The blade was designed by Shanghai Electric, specifically targeting China’s low speed offshore wind zones. Thanks to the abundant experience accumulated after years of structure design, material test, process optimization and full-size test, Zhongfu Shenying was selected as the blade supplier, and has successfully completed the production and test of wind blades.
Clients First lies in the heart of Zhongfu Lianzhong’s philosophy, whether when delivering products or services. Shortly after the first set of LZ84-6.25 blades delivered, Zhongfu Lianzhong sent its engineers on site, to make sure that the blades were uploaded to the ship accordingly and the ship would leave on the next day for the offshore wind farm as stipulated. To satisfy customized requests, Zhongfu Lianzhong made up a detailed plan and considerate preparations.
Finally, with the joint efforts from all involved, LZ84-6.25 blade was successfully installed.
